I consider this piece to be a double entendre. Initially when you take the first glance at this peace the Famous saying “BLACK POWER” will come to mind and in a sense that is exactly what it means. This piece also represents the power of being human. We ourselves are not perfect, we face trails and tribulations on a daily basis yet despite it all we still manage to keep it together (fist formation), sadly the fact that we lack a connectedness to one another we fall to victim of separating ourselves from one another. This stand for Fight the power of segregation, fight the power of the capitalist norm that has led us to be this way, fight the power of any and all thing that keep us from being the beautiful replication of the Most High’s creation.
